Can't paste into newly upgraded Thunderbird 45.

I just upgraded to Thunderbird 45 from 38. When composing a message, now I can't paste from the clipboard into the message. None of the paste functions work, including cntl-V. It doesn't matter what format the paste is in. Any help ?

Chosen solution

When in Safe Mode, the problem went away. I disabled the plugins and extensions one-by-one to see if one of them was guilty. It turns out that the extension "QuoteandComposeManager" was causing the problem. I could certainly live without it, so I disabled it and now everything works fine. Thanks for the help.

It turns out that the extension "QuoteandComposeManager" was causing the problem. I could certainly live without it, so I disabled it and now everything works fine. Thanks for the help.
