Hi - I'm new to the support forums - so not sure what you need to answer my question - but I'll try. Also, I'm not a programmer of any kind, but if you instruct me I'm pretty good at finding the software/ hardware info that you may need to help you answer the question.

My question is this: Why won't Firefox 46.0.1 allow me to click on the "searches related to..." section at the bottom of a search page in google? Essentially I scroll (using my fingers on the touch pad mouse on my mac - not a traditional mouse) and I'm able to scroll down most of the page, but once I get to about the last search item offered on the page and see the I see the "searched related to..." section (where it lists alternative but similar ways to look up the information I need) my screen jumps or skips this "searches related to..." section and a bar pops up noting "loading page" and it skips to the next page in my original search. Then once loaded, it shows a bar indicating the page number and a scroll and click box where you can "jump to" a specific page number. Note: this action that I'm dealing with does NOT jump me back to the top of the screen - rather, it just attaches the next "page" of the search results, so I can continue scrolling through the search results given.

I'm wanting to be able to click on a suggested / alternative search sentence in the "searches related to..." section at the bottom of the page... but once I see these search options at the bottom, it "jumps" to the next page (and the options disappear) before I can click on anything.

Sorry my question is a bit wordy, but I don't know how else to explain it - took a bit to even be able to search for the TERMS to use when I was trying to look up this problem on the internet... infinite scrolling, autoscrolling, no footer, pagination... I just can't find out how to explain it much less how to find the solution to fix it.

Essentially I actually like the idea of "PARTIAL infinite scrolling" if that makes sense... it helps me to continue searching for as long as I want, but it also gives me the sense of "control" and mental understanding as to what PAGE I'm on when I want to go backwards to see a search result that I might want to look at. Also, it prevents the "pogo sticking" issue of having to click BACK to prior pages, and end up at the TOP of that search page, thus losing my place...

SO I like the concept, BUT I really, really like the "searches related to..." section at the bottom of a google search page, and I would like to click on them every so often. It seems to me that they could allow this "searches related to..." suggestion box (for lack of better wording) that's at the bottom of search pages, to just continue to scroll up on that page - and THEN auto jump/ auto scroll to the next page... giving you that "infinite scrolling" feel, BUT still giving you the "pages concept" offered, (basically they number each "section" as a page) AND give you the searches related option in the continuous scroll, so you could click on one of those and another tab would open and you could search using that suggested sentence? No idea if this makes sense - but I'm hoping someone else out there is having this problem?

Note: I have checked, and I don't believe I have any add-on's that are causing this - I use very few add-ons anyway - and it shows my Firefox version is up to date. I've checked all over google help and Mozilla support - but most issues that are mentioned, are old items that have been fixed over the years. Also, while some problems sound similar - it ends up not being the issue I'm dealing with.

Note: I TRIED to attach screen shots of the problem... but after browsing and selecting the image I wanted, it wouldn't upload to go with my question that I'm posting here... Anyway, next is my original paragraph explaining my screenshots, in case they DO load and I just don't see it on my end:

        • I've attached screen shots that might help: 1) you can see the search list has a "searches related to..." section at the bottom... (if I scroll really slowly I can see the top of this section just before it "skips" and the "loading page" bar pops up then 2) you see the bar with the page number and option to jumping to another page... but the options in the "searches related to..." section is gone so I never could click on any of them... it jumps away too fast once you see it - like in about 2 sections.***

Thanks in advance if any of you can help - this issue is driving me nuts.  :) Hope you have a blessed day!

That sounds like the page is loading the next section when you get near the bottom of the page. Open Google settings and poke around.
