Got a new macbook. Updated Firefox to the latest version: 47.0 (I think this is a beta version. I was using beta on my old computer but it was really old and stopped at ff16). Now netflix won't load completely and the parts that load won't play.

Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Flash Player Version: 21.0.0.242 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.621

Did the problem start with the beta version? Have you tried v46.0.1? Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

I assume the problem is with the beta version. That's what netflix tech support said as well. I've never had 46. The last version I used was 16 as that was the highest my ancient system would support. Netflix stopped working on 16 ages ago. There are no issues running it on either Chrome or Safari.

Sorry, maybe I posted this in the wrong place. I'm not trying to find a different version of firefox, I just wanted to make sure that 1) the problem was the release and not me and 2) that developers were aware of the problem.

We can't answer that until the problem goes away.
