Firefox, what have you done? I can no longer have firefox not remember my history while still remaining logged in to my email etc. Don't make me use safari.
In past versions of firefox, I was able to login in to my email accounts and stay logged in while at the same time set firefox to not save my browsing history. Now I have to continually log in to my accounts, my history is remembered and just in case I wasn't irritated enough a little box pops up in the left hand corner asking me if I want you to remember my password. I have tried many different history settings to get it back to the way things used to be with no luck. What is up with this latest version? Or, what am I doing wrong?

The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.
Turn off Always use private browsing mode Turn on Remember my browsing and download history At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving Active Logins off.
This was sort of helpful. I am still getting that annoying box on the left hand corner of the screen whenever I log in somewhere. I also would prefer that firefox not remember my history even for the time it is on. I am complaining about these things because they were issues I never had in the past. Also I hate that firefox is now deciding when I get to see something in adobe flash and when I don't. Overall I feel like firefox is all up in my business in a way it never used to be. A big disappointment.
Many users are complaining about the newest flash. Adobe is working on it.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
