Why does firefox fail to connect to ebay check out. worked for years
I have 2 identical older laptops running windows 2000 . Last week I was unable to get past the check out page on Ebay. Nothing on the Page responds. The cursor is operational. Both computers have the same problem. One of which has not been used on line for ! year. We also have a mac book pro using their operating system. There was no problem completing the Ebay and Pay pal check out procedure on the mac. We did the same procedure on the mac using Firefox with no problem. This leads me to believe that the problem may be a new compatibility issue with Firefox and the older operating systems. Cookies or whatever. Please let me know what you think. Thanks Clark Permar

Hello, to be honest :-) i don't known if exist a forum contributor to test ebay website in a win2000 and a firefox 12 version, it is very old and unsupported and definitely vulnerable.
try a restart to your modem (off and on again), any luck ?
thank you
Firefox 13.0 and newer requires WinXP SP2 at minimum since.
There is a possibility of getting more current Firefox Releases working on the old EOL Windows 2000. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=2482475
Note Firefox 49.0 drops support for older cpu's that does not support SSE2.
The ESR which is normally meant for Enterprise users is based on a Release every seven versions so 45 ESR is not affected by this however Firefox 52.0 ESR will be.
Firefox 45.8.0 ESR will be out when Firefox 53.0 is Released as ESR version gets eight updates unless Mozilla extends it. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/
