I have changed the setting in about:config. When I enter a question in the search bar and click enter it does open a new tab but if you click the arrow it opens in the current tab. I want both "enter and arrow" to open in new tab.

What do I need to do to get this to work???????

Chosen solution

Are you using Tab Mix Plus?

This could be a problem with the TMP settings.

  • TMP Options/Preferences > Links: uncheck "Open links with a target attribute in the current tab"

My problem was solved by installing Tab Mix Plus and then making sure of the above preference was unchecked.
