How to adjust the Bookmark addition dialog in a way that it doesn't automatically bookmarks a page on Ctrl+D?

more options

Dear Mozilla Firefox Support,

Can you please advice me how to adjust the Bookmark addition dialogue in a way that it does not automatically adds a page to the bookmarks on Ctrl+D? With recent update of the Firefox this new change worsen my common workflow of copying the name of the page to the buffer for subsequent usage: I used Ctrl+D -> Ctrl+C -> Esc to quickly perform it but know have to click "Remove bookmark" instead of simply pressing Esc. Please help me with it.

Kind regards, Andrey Kuzmin

If you can twist your fingers around a little differently, it would be Ctrl+d Ctrl+c Alt+r to "click" that Remove button to close the dialog.

Thanks jscher2000, I must be figuring out this obvious solution first) If there is no an about:config setting for Bookmark Dialogue Layout then the new keyboard combination is the solution. Another option is to use Add Bookmark Here ² add-on as it provides "inter alia" the old-style layout for bookmarking. Thanks everyone!

What are you trying to do copy the address ? If so just use Ctrl+L then Ctrl+C

Hi John99, Thank you for your suggestion but the purpose is to copy page title, not address. My "workaround" with bookmarking was intentionally for it.

Note that you can also copy the page title from the Page Info window. Click the title and use Ctrl+A and Ctrl+ C

Thank you cor-el but I hoped to find a solution without adding a new add-on.

I presume that add on is

The add on seems to do a lot more than simply make the door hanger behave more like the pre fx47 version.

I will make that a link in your last post.
