When I am creating a new or replying to an email, as I am typing the whole email disappears behind the email client. So I have to close or minimize thunderbird to find my email behind it. I've tried eM email client as a back up because it is very annoying to be replying to something and the email jumps (disappears). Hard to explain. I used eM for 2 weeks now and I just want my Mozilla thunderbird email client back!!!

Chosen solution

This is a known issue on Windows 10 related to desktop slideshows.

So, Either maximize the Thunderbird write window. (it does not occur in maximized windows) Or disable the slideshow in Windows.

  • Right click the desktop,
  • Select personalize
  • Select the background and change it to picture.
