Need to run v38.1 and it's on my PC, but all that runs is v45.

Help says that Thunderbird v45 cannot Import from Outlook. The workaround is to run v31.8 to do the Import, then update to v45.

I have v31.8 on my PC - it's in the Add/Remove Programs list - along with v45.

But v31.8 does not appear in the Program Files (x386) folder - only v45 is in there.

How can I find and run v31.8 so that I may do my Outlook import?

Thanks.

I think Windows lies, or at least becomes confused about which version of Thunderbird is installed. I suggest you uninstall it (or both Thunderbirds) and re-install the 31 version that you wish to use.

If both versions are installed you should be able to run either using a link to its own executable file. But I suspect the older version isn't really there.

Note that if you were to do this, you might find addons being disabled and uninstalled, reinstalled or updated when you switch versions.

Previous and current versions of Thunderbird are available here:
