Many times on a webpage I've found that when I use Control_click to open a link in a background tab it opens a new window. Then a little while later on the same page it opens a new tab like its supposed to.

Does anybody know why this is occurring?

Some links are programmed to open in new windows. You can override this via right click.

Strange as I've never encountered this with the old Opera or newer Chrome though. Is it just occurring with Firefox? And how can a link control how its opened?
