I use Thunderbird with my longstanding e-mail server. No problems. However I have just purchased another domain and e-mail server and would like to carry on using Thunderbird with both my longstanding server and my new one. I tried installing Thunderbird to a different folder but all that happened was that my current e-mail service and all the folders started up. The server settings for my old and new servers will obviously be different. Is there any way around this?

Many of us use a single Thunderbird to manage multiple accounts on multiple servers. Why do you particularly want to make it separate?

If you are determined to run Thunderbird twice (or more) you don't need multiple Thunderbirds, but you do need multiple profiles.
