JavaScript is enabled in Firefox by default. If it were not enabled, numerous sites would display a warning, and many would just be blank.

If the site requires the Java plugin, you can install it from Oracle's website. See: https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp (make sure to uncheck unwanted extras that may be offered during the install process)

Note Java and JavaScript are two different things as JavaScript was originally going to be called LiveScript. http://kb.mozillazine.org/JavaScript_is_not_Java

Oracle is depreciating their vulnerable Java Plugin in future btw. https://blogs.oracle.com/java-platform-group/entry/moving_to_a_plugin_free
