When I start up Thunderbird I get this:

WARNING: these folders exceed the maximum value

Local Folders = 2015 (207.95 MB)

I am wondering if I could reset this warning to say 300 mb (how?), or would that cause a problem?

Sure enough, I have an extension "ShowFolderSize" that was set to warn at 200 mb. Thanks a lot for the help.

Start Thunderbird in safe mode. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

Do you still see the warning?
