I am considering making an application for Android. I was wondering how is it legal for Mozilla to do this? has youtube came after mozilla?

What should I know.

Would this be an issue?

There have been applications removed from the play store for this very reason it seems.

Firefox is a web browser, it requests content that is reachable by any browser. Firefox is not using the YouTube API.

thx, in theory I could port Chromium Embedded Framework to an Android app and play video in the background & with the screen off. the same way Firefox does, straight from the net, not the api. is that too far fetched?
