I am using Earlybird (version 51.0a1 (2016-09-21) (32-bit), I also have MRC Compose 1.8.2 installed. I found that post Earlybird autoupdate the send button is gred out when composing, replying mails.

if MRC-Compose Addon is disabled \ removed the send option is working fine, seems some compatibility issue with MRC compose and latest Earlybird version.

Any help please.

Thunderbird addons are written and updated by the author, not the developers of Thunderbird. I can see that the addon states: Works with Thunderbird 24.0 - 38.*

It would only be reasonable to expect such addon extensions to work with a current release which is version 45.3.0.

I would suggest you go to the link below and use the 'Support Email' link and contact the author asking whether this addon will get updated to work with versions beyond 38.*
