The sent folder is not displaying emails sent in the new online Outlook.com in Firefox. This is occuring on two different laptops. I have also had recently a similar problem with newly received "newsletters" that are directed to a subfolder of the inbox.

In both situations the emails concerned to not appear at the top of the email list organised as newest at the top. By changing the date order to newest at the bottom they can be seen, also in the situation with the newsletters by changing the display from the default "message" view to "coversation" view, they then would appear.

The problem with the newsletters has been resolved by deleting the sub folder and then re creating it. Because of this I thought at first that, perhaps, this was an MS fault, as this is the new Outlook.com web mail, and there are other issues that are for MS to resolve. Deleting/re-creating the "Sent Items" folder is not an option. The newly sent emails can also, sometimes be made to appear in the correct place by paging down to the bottom of the list and then moving back up. They then appear correctly at the top of the list for a few second then diappear again!

I have tried changing the rendering engine to the IE tab and this works and the emails display correctly, also MS Edge and Internet Explorer (as opened seperately from FF) display correctly and quickly. This indicates that it is definetly a Firefox problem. I do not want to reset FF and would prefer to keep on using it but it is basic that email displays correctly. Thank you Steven Kiernan

I have now refreshed Firefox and this solved the problem. I was surprised that it was so easy and my settings/plug ins etc were saved to a folder and I was able to restore the refreshed version to it's previous state in about 15 mins.- except of course the fault.
