I cleared my browsing history and have the weather network as my home page. I updated Firefox and now the homepage seems to be a list rather than a web page, PLUS, I get a Google ad on it. Google then forces several steps to kill the ad and clicking on any of the Weather network page hotlinks brings another Google ad. I have Google Chrome also installed, but am not using it. Why is all this happening?

MaxwellPaxwell Mozilla and Google are both businesses. One makes browsers, the other is a website.

CharlesEJ Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove Google Anything. Now do the same in the computers Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
