I am working overseas with a very slow internet speed and I get a timeout message before the page is accessed. How can i disable timeout so that webpages on a slow network will download? Have tried about:config etc as described on a previous answer, but this makes no difference

See this old blog post about modifying a registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\DNSQueryTimeouts
Multi String: "1 2 2 4 8 0" -> "4 8 8 16 32 0"
