Chosen solution

On Mac Firefox saves a pending update in the hidden Caches folder location.

  • ~/Library/Caches/Mozilla/updates/Applications/Firefox/updates/

So you need to access this folder via the Mac user account that shows this issue.

Note that in Mac OS X v10.7 and later, the ~/Library folder is a hidden folder.

SOLUTION: Remove /Users/<name>/Library/Caches/Mozilla/ which contained the directory /updates/Applications/Firefox/updates/

Thanks for the reply, however, I am not very computer literate and will need some directions on getting to the above mentioned lines. Thanks in advance for the directions.

If you are not sure of how to do this, ask someone there for help.

Open the computer's file browser to the Users directory. From here, go into your user folder. then Library and then Caches. From here, remove the Mozilla folder.
