Firefox takes 20 seconds to open - compared to 3 seconds for Chrome, IE and Edge browsers. I have check firewall, AV and power settings and they have no impact on problem. All three of my computers (different hardware) using Firefox on Windows 10 are having this same issue.

OS - Windows 10 with Creator's Update applied, Firefox updated to latest and using AVAST Free (settings checked). Computers are AMD FX 8350 with 16gb ram, Intel i7 Quad, 8gb ram and AMD A6 3.2ghz with 4gb ram.

Please advise.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that has effect.

  • Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
  • Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
