Windows 10 (64). I do not speak tech.

I have Firefox on each of two MS User Accounts on my single desktop PC. (I have no other devices.) I have set up my bookmarks and settings on one account's copy of Firefox. Then I tried to sync that with the other account's copy. Nothing happened. How can I avoid having to set up the other copy also? If I succeed at this, I shall need to know how to edit bookmarks on one browser copy without changing the other.

Alternately, where is my list of browser settings and how do I copy them to the second browser? I think I know how to copy the bookmarks using Windows Explorer.

Also, is it necessary to first make Firefox default browser? Your FAQ was equivocal on this.

Chosen solution

You need to connect Firefox on both Windows user accounts to the same Firefox Sync account to achieve this.

You can also copy some files manually to carry over specific data, but this is all or nothing and replaces existing data. If you would want to merge bookmarks then you need to use an HTML bookmarks backup.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
