I recently rebuilt my main PC and had to re install everything. I reinstalled Thunderbird, and had to change the password as I did not remember it. When I changed it, my phone (iPhone 6 Plus) accepted the change, however, this device (computer) did not, and left me no way to adjust or contact anyone. Now I am virtually without e-mail Somebody help.

It ought to have found that its stored passwords no longer work and asked you to enter them again.

You can go to the password store and update or remove them. In Windows Thunderbird it is under Tools|Options|Security|Passwords->Saved Passwords. Select a login to get an option to delete it, and right-click or double-click to get the option to edit it.
