Loud static when playing any audio on ARM Linux

Running Firefox 54.0.1 on Arch Linux ARM gives extremely loud static when playing any audio. The correct audio can be heard faintly and distorted. Safe mode does not change behaviour. Audio works in other programs and in chromium.

Problem goes away when I play youtube content with webm/vp9, but returns if I play youtube content with mp4/avc
