Getting message saying "Message bounced, not enough bytes" etc

more options

My father-in-laws keeps his email clean, literally has only like 15 emails in his inbox and his trash is empty. Yet in the last week nearly all of his emails received don't come through, he gets an error message saying that the message bounced because there weren't enough bytes available. What is the issue here?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Email provider's servers bounce email not Thunderbird. Ask them what the problem is.
