Firefox tabs crash approx. 5 min after loading the tab on websites such as; https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/e/eric_clapton/tears_in_heaven_tab.htm, and amazon prime video pages. It still crashes when i start Firefox in safe mode, and seems to have only started after the most recent firefox update, though I haven't used my computer for approx 3.5 months before the update, so it could be from something that happened earlier.

Update, my tab also crashed twice upon reaching the firefox support log in page here; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/activate/1397236/68204fd69b11e3de6be29a45926609ceeab0e63a?reg=aaq I was able to make it work by being quick with my log in info.

Hi, ckillp sorry to see these kinds of crashes can happen. Unfortunately if Firefox crashes even in save mode it's very difficult to find a possible cause but try to give us your crash ID and we will lookup at that together.

The tool automagically filled in some information, I thought it included the crash ID. Sorry! The two most recent crash IDs are below. 02afa2cd-0137-4a41-9037-ec4080170927 c3f8b625-3895-4b0f-bfb9-b77021170927

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Thanks, it seems related to the video. You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Options/Preferences -> General: Performance
  • remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
  • "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

Alternatively, you can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration-related issues.

   https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

If it does not work, try to downgrade Firefox with a 54 for example.

Hi, if you have Symantec/Norton Intrusion Detection software on your system, try updating or disabling it to test.
