I can no longer read my tabs in Firefox quantum

Today I let Firefox update to the new Quantum version. As a result, I can no longer read my tabs (black on a blue background is hard for anyone, but my eyes are really bad, even with correction).. Plus, they have moved to an inconvenient location (above address bar). Before this update, I was using Colorful Tabs add-on, which made them all easy to read. In addition, I was using another add-on that allowed me to hover over the tab and it would show which page it was. Now, the only way I can see which tab is which is to actually click on the tab and go to the site. This is horribly time-consuming, and I don't have that much time to spare.

Can you please advise how I can regain both the position and readability of the tabs on my tab bar? This system is awful as it stands now, and I may have to (reluctantly) start using a different browser.

Please help.

Can you Please Click the 3 Bar Menu and then Click Customize and change the Theme at the page bottom. Try the other stuff there at the bottom.

If does not work for you we can try something else.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

As instructed, I changed the theme to something I could read, then clicked "done." Unfortunately, the theme immediately reverted back to the default. Also, I still need to move my tab bar to below the address line.
