I can't change the theme, firefox keeps reverting to its ugly colour scheme
No matter what theme I choose in the customise option, as soon as I click enable, firefox just reverts to the ugly layout and colour scheme it had after the update. The row with the tabs is black, I can barely read the headings, the minimize, maximise, close buttons on the title bar keep vanishing, and ofcourse it just won't accept any themes I try to install. I got the curvy tabs and tabs below the search bar from other forums in a css file. Removing that file hasn't stopped the issue. Is there a way to delete or overide this default theme that firefox keeps reverting to??

Additionally, I used to have the colouredtabs addon, which just changes the colour of the tabs, but now the entire background changes with the tab colour as well.
I, too, have this problem after updating to 57.0.2 64-bit. Nothing in the KB has solved this problem, and from the looks of this post thread, no one has the answer, so I'm going to reinstall an older version since Mozilla.org isn't correcting the problem or answering how to correct this problem

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
Hi sharkgirl7, regarding the black background behind the curvy tabs, you may be interested in the additional style rules in this post:

I'm attaching a screenshot of how that appears on Windows 7; I haven't tried it on Windows 10 or with a fancy background theme.
