You do not want to remove it as that is for running : Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.8 Google Update NPRuntime Script Plug-in Library for Java(TM) Deploy Next Generation Java Plug-in 11.144.2 for Mozilla browsers DRM Store Netscape Plugin DRM Netscape Network Object Rhapsody Player Engine Plugin Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0 4.0.60831.0 Npdsplay dll Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) plug-in for Mozilla browsers
It shows here version 52. The current release is 52.5.0 and you should be running the ESR Version to get Security Updates, install from here : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I just updated Firefox to the new 52.5.0 version, then I rebooted my computer. It is still crashing, and showing a little box that reads Plug In Container Exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I need a new solution as this just started like a week or two ago and it is making my computer unusable. I have run allllllll my virus software and there was no problem this is a Firefox problem only.
Can you check if there are crash reports please. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-asking-support If there is please message the bp- file as instructed so it can be opened on this end as a URL.
I tried to do this but got this message:
You're seeing this page because the crash report you selected was held back from submission. For statistical purposes, we don't need every crash report and sometimes we decline the submission of a crash report as a form of throttling. If you'd like to see your crash report, type about:crashes into your location bar and your report will be automatically submitted to our server where we'll give it priority processing.
Thank you for reporting your crashes.
Ok so now go back and look for the crash report as asked. If was submitted can now follow up as asked. Thanks.
I do not know what a bp file is?
The last report is not there!
Getting sick of the crap ready to dump Firefox!
Support Volunteers can't make changes to Firefox , but we can help you with troubleshooting your question. So this can continue or not as do not need crap either.
Submit the bp- file as instructed here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-asking-support
