Can plugins & extensions access passwords stored via the Norton ID Safe extension but not in Firefox?

Hello all. The Norton ID Safe "vault" is protected by a very strong password and it's open only while I need to log into sites, not during general browsing. Plugins like Cisco video codec haven't been a concern, but what about extensions such as the BeFrugal CouponViewer that finds and offers coupons/codes for shopping sites? Digging through BeFrugal's blurbs, Firefox Help, and elsewhere, I can't find info on whether extensions like this that follow browsing activity can access data from another extension or from a site's login fields. Enabling CouponViewer only when I'm shopping would still raise the issue when I log into a store site. Should I just go to BeFrugal's site to hunt for coupons & codes instead of using the extension? Am I being paranoid? Argh! Any help with this will be hugely appreciated!

Pkshadow, you've clarified my thinking, which had the issue backwards: it relates to security of the Norton extension rather than to Firefox security. Many thanks for being there to help and for responding so quickly. I'll post the Norton Community answer here in case anyone else needs it. May 2018 be your best year yet!

We can't give you an answer because we don't know how Norton is programmed. You need to ask its support.
