My gmail account will be deactivated soon but I want to still have access to all my correspondence prior to deactivation. Is there anyway thunderbird allows me to store all of my emails before deactivation takes place?

What is your account type - POP or IMAP?

I have it under POP.

As it's POP, all the messages are stored on your computer and are yours to keep. But so long as this account remains installed, Thunderbird will still try to make contact with the server, giving you irritating connection failures.

I'd move all the messages into another account; either an alternative working account, or the Local Folders account, and then remove the disabled account.

Hi @zenos, would you mind telling me the steps on how I would move msgs to account of local folders. Thanks!
