When I try to sign onto Firefox I'm getting an Invalid URL on the tab and it tells me it doesn't recognize the URL. How do I fix this?

When I signed on to my laptop, which I haven't done in nearly a month, and started into Firefox from my desktop there was a pop up saying Firefox was loading updates. When it started going to Firefox it took me a tab screen explaining the new version and wouldn't let me out of that tab to go to a search tab. I closed Firefox to get out and back to my desktop then clicked on my Firefox Icon again to go back into it and that is when I started getting the Invalid URL Tab.

On the Invalid URL Tab Screen it has a character and says: Hmm, that address doesn't look right. Please check that the URL is correct and try again.

I can't find what the URL is supposed to be for the new version???

I have tried restarting Firefox several times and also rebooting the laptop - No Difference.

Nothing works. Either get me a fix or tell me how to go back to the old version or I can go back to Chrome. I Just don't want to lose all my bookmarks again.

That sounds suspicious to me. Did you make this post on that computer? Are you still having the problem?

If there is a page that just will not go away (this is caused by a script),

A way out of the trap is to (force it if needed) Close Firefox. Wait about 20 seconds for Firefox to finish closing. Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.
