Hi, it's a long time I'm using Firefox. I had version 57. It seems that after update to version 58 I've a problem. I'm not able anymore to download files if the link is some sort of code link. If there is a direct link (to the filename) I can download it. But if the link is an active one like mylinkaction.php.... or mylinkaction.do.... I just see a new tab opening and closing in seconds and no actions. Nothing in the download queue or anywhere.

The same link works with Chrome or Opera.

As I used the 64 bit version I tried to load the 32 bit version of Firefox, same problem. I have 8/9 plugins, I tried to load Firefox in safe mode and it works. Ok, I deactivated all plugins and tested this way but same problem.

So, the problem is with plugins interaction because in safe mode it works, but it is something that load at start or so because also with all plugins deactivated I have the problem. Any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks in advance Flaviano

Hi,

I have seen first this problem with couple of remote banking system where I'm not able anymore to download statements. But it is the same with any coded link, instead the ones that directly point to the document, program or so work.

A sample is http://www.swwork.it/util/dl/downloader.php?id=2

this is a very old page we've in place since years.

Meantime I'm trying to remove plugins one by one but, up to now, no luck.

TIA

Ok, problem at my side.

Again deactivated all plugins. Same problem.

I've saved all I needed and I've done a reset add-ons and settings https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings now download is ok.

On my way to add what I had (from many time) one by one and see what is the problem.
