After downloading Firefox and turn on, the entire page gets large and very distorted. Nothing as far as web surfing works.

It's almost as if some of the program isn't there. All Icons are all larger and distorted too. In order to exit, I have to turn off my laptop and force the shutdown. I uninstalled the program and awaiting further help from your expertise.

Check that you do not run Firefox in compatibility mode or with reduced display resolution. You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.

  • Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
  • Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
