Hello,

We are using Firefox ESR in a domain environment. We have a custom config file that gets pushed to all users which forces a specific homepage & makes sure that automatic updating of Firefox is enabled.

Unfortunately, Every time I try to update Firefox with a domain user account we will get the same error:

"Update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer."

This is on all PC's, with all users (admin users too!)

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

As an added note: We use Roaming Profiles and Redirected Folders in our Domain Environment.

We have no restrictive policies in place that would stop a user from accessing the C drive (where Firefox is installed) or installing software in general.
