Thunderbird will not send e-mail messages anymore sinds three days. It happens suddenly without any changes made to the settings. I have verified all settings with my INternet services provider, including the port assignment for both sending and receiving e-mails and all settings are correct. Receiving of e-mails is working well. My desktop is running Windows 10.

Any suggestions how to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance, Henk Pichel

Additionally, you could just check what has changed (automatically) on your system lately. See the note about firewall and software updates in the Cannot send messages article - they are a common cause.

Don’t forget to check the status of your email service, e.g. here. Thunderbird does not change settings by itself.
