Hello! May I humbly request if it's could be considered to add a "swiping between tabs" function in Firefox for Android? This is the only feature that make my chrome detoxification so hard ;). I always have 10 to 20 tabs opened, I like the smooth navigation by swipe between all my tabs.

What exactly means "swiping between tabs"?

Hi! Sorry, English is not my mother language so I may have poorly explained. If you swipe (=move finger) on the address bar of chrome android, you will "move" to next tab. I must say it's incredibly comfortable that with only one swipe you can navigate between tabs.

On Firefox Android, you 1st have to click to button ton open tabs list, then scroll in the list, Find which tab you are looking for (based on thumbnails showed here) and then select the tabs you want. It works well, but seems less ergonomic to me.

Do you see what I mean?

This feature request is about 5 years old. No one is working on it at the moment.

Hi!

I was sure to not be the 1st to suggest, but I was not able to find some already existing discussion (I was on the mobile site).

Anyway, I agree, the 2 links you provided describe same suggestion as I did.

My point was to take some news (in case it's in dev, but seems not), and also add my voice to other people suggesting this feature.

Like someone said in bug 811892: "I prefer FF over Chrome, but that feature makes me using Chrome. It is so quick." I feel same, at least on my phone.

It's a pity that since 5-6 years, this hasn't moved but like I said 1st, it's just an humble suggestion. I'll keep an eye on this!
