I tend leave a lot my messages in the inbox. Now, whenever I open ThBd inbox--- *all* messages (inbox in 'directory' ) 'spray' across the screen. Then I have to (using the cursor-held down) travel 'all' the way back to be able to read first msg present). That's why I have to keep all messages -- so that I can get back to earlier msgs. Odd.

Must a better way.

Thanks for any insight,

Billss

Are they opening in tabs? You may be able to right-click one tab and select "close other tabs".

By design, Thunderbird should save its configuration when you close it. So if you close Thunderbird with multiple tabs open, it should restore them next time you start it.
