Chosen solution

hi, unfortunately comodo was malfunctioning today and mistakenly quarantining parts of a couple of programs which caused these firefox startup crashes as well. apparently they have released an update till now that has rectified the issue, so please make sure that comodo and all of its signatures/components are up to date: https://forums.comodo.com/av-false-positivenegative-detection-reporting/comodo-is-reporting-everything-as-a-malware-since-this-night-t121994.0.html

afterwards reinstall firefox with the installer from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

in case this doesn't help either i'd recommend to ditch this unreliable security software...
