Hi Everyone,

My apologies for posting something relevant to DuckDuckGo and not a Mozilla product, but I am getting frustrated at the lack of support with DDG and wondered if anyone can put me in touch with where I might get some help.

I have discovered the original DDG Forum has been archived and they are now using a Reddit based alternative.

I do not use Reddit and will not be signing in with them to access that forum.

Does anyone know of any alternative sites where support on poor/inadequate search results might be had please?

Many thanks,

Ian

Chosen solution

perhaps your adblocker is interfering, and blocking content with the term "advert" from loading?

What kind search are you doing that FF can't search for? It might also be a time to change to a more supported Browser as well. If they won't respond or at least reply back then you should decide on a Browser that is more supported to help your searches.

HI, sorry but no where I know of. Reddit is a normal way of doing support. Firefox has reddit support account as well as twitter and facebook.

Hi Westend, Pkshadow and Murphy, my thanks to you all for responding.

My apologies for not having provided examples of the problem -- I was quietly confident I had uploaded the relevant screen-shots - but hadn't. (It's an Age Thing I think.) Anyway, as can be seen from the shots, when I enter <Corel x4 displays"> DDG returns loads of possibles, but when I add the one word "advert" to the string -- DDG returns nothing at all.

Murphy -- Thank you for providing an email address for DDG Support, I shall give that a go shortly and see what pearls of wisdom are forthcoming.

Hi philipp, Brilliant response.

I temporarily disabled the Ad-blocker and, hey-presto, a full listing even when the word advert is there.

My thanks to you, and all others who responded, for solving this problem - greatly appreciated.

Ian
