I just turned on my computer to read the news on Yahoo. The home page opens without a problem but every article I click on only shows a white page and no article. I went to Chrome and everything works fine. What's going on and what changes were made in firefox while my computer was off. It worked fine this afternoon. What can be done to correct this or do I have to quit using firefox?

Hi, uuuh no changes were made to your computer while it was off.

Could have while you shut down or started up though. Anything from updates, to program updates, windows updates, file updates being written, malware being deposited or initiated, corruption to a file ......hundreds of thousands of things could have happened.

Please try : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ?

After using Chrome all day and going back to Firefox now everything is working fine. Maybe this was a Yahoo glitch for Firefox. I've had problems with Yahoo in the past but this was something new.

Ah.......yes does happen at times. Is also frustrating when site is up and only getting partial stuff loaded as not sure what is going on.

Glad is working for you now, enjoy.
