Why have the connections from IMDb to linked reviews stopped working?

more options

It might be simply coincidental, but ever since Jeff Bezos bought IMDb and turned it into a salesroom for Amazon crap, I have almost no success in clicking on links to reviews of movies on other websites, such as DVD Beaver and (link removed due to content). Was it something I said?

It seems to work ok for me, but it's possible that the iMDB servers have changed and the DNS information on your system is no longer accurate. You should try flushing your DNS.

DNS is the service that converts a website's domain name into an IP address that points to the server that Firefox will attempt to connect to. This information is saved on your computer so that Firefox doesn't need to request it each time you connect to that website.

However, if the IP address for the iMDB website has changed, then it's possible that Firefox is still attempting to connect to the old IP address. Flushing your DNS will remove all saved DNS records and force Firefox to get updated information.

Hope this helps.
