HI, please when open the page or a New Tab go to gear Icon in the Right Top corner and it will take you to the New Home of those settings.

Or Copy/Pate about:preferences#home to the Address Bar and then Enter.

The icons I speak of are the sites I chose to keep handy on that homepage. They cover the whole page. That's what I see when I open a new tab. I can have up to 12 icons on that homepage. Where are they since that update was installed yesterday?

What's the setting called? There's nothing on that page to resolve this problem.

ALSO Foxfire should be my default browser and I want it to be my default. I fiddled with 'recovery' 'restore' etc. under Security/Maintenance and now have MICROSOFT EDGE as my browser!! I don't want EDGE and can't seem to get Mozilla back as my default. I'm working on a Windows 10 laptop

Did you go to that page as it is now more advanced that the Gear Icon.

If your settings are missing you may have to reset them from the page and add the sites back again. It is a Computer Program, things happen and that is why :

Please see if bookmarks are there and also check the Desktop for a Folder Called OldFirefoxProfile, if it is there it is possible to get the data.

Please check here to see if there are 2 Profiles, your looking for the oldest dated one.

Win10, Please open Settings --> Apps --> Default Apps --> Browser You will see Edge as the Default, please Click Edge and now change it to Firefox.

OMG, I see that and switched it back to Foxfire! Will I have to restart to see results?

more options

Maybe, might also have to go into Firefox with Copy/Paste about:preferences to the Address Bar and Check Mark : For Firefox to always check to see if it is default.

Oh..........by they way, it is a bug that did your Tiles in bug1471375

TILES, that's what they are called...thank you A bug did them in? What??! I NEED MY TILES!!  :) I don't understand instructions to restore my Tiles.

Yes, that box is checked to 'confirm Foxfire is default'

Great. Unhappy news you will have to set them up again.

Are their no Tiles at all ? just a blank page ? Or are there tiles but just not yours ?

3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Home

When go to the New Homepage for that is there anything that changes when you do ..........  ???

more options

I did shutdown, restarted few minutes ago, tiles are not populating. and BTW I love that homepage....no news junk on that page....Just my TILES. Yesterday.... I tried to 'restore' to a previous time/date to undo that Foxfire update, thinking that would give my tiles back. Didn't seem successful as I still don't have them back....and you saying a BUG did them in?

more options

are you using any particular security/sandboxing software on the affected system?

more options

Correct no tiles at all, blank page. I open that menu and click on the gear but don't see anything about TILES. HOME only has default set up GENERAL, don't see anything on that page for the TILES.

I went into website(s) and looked for button to add site as a tile to the homepage, could not see how to do that.

What?!? Not that I know of. Security on this PC is basic/free one

Hi, still need to know how to get TILES/sites back on the HOMEPAGE. Please advise. Thank you

Hi, we got a handful of user reports about this, but there isn't any good understanding of why this might be happening yet. Mozilla's developers are looking into the issue though. I will come back if we know about any solution or perhaps to ask for some more information if need any from affected users in order to debug this problem...
