Approx 2 days ago Mozilla deleted ~1800 emails from my in box. These are important emails, which I require back. Before the deletion I noticed Mozilla created some popstate->>.dat.files under trash. I tried clicking on these files but nothing was in them. Any ideas how I can retrieve my deleted emails? Thank you

Restore them from a recent backup you created. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_restoring-a-profile-backup

Accumulating messages in Inbox isn't best practice, as you found out the hard way. For the future, make sure to create backups of your Thunderbird profile on a regular basis. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_backing-up-a-profile
