If I click on a message that's in my inbox, it's highlighted in yellow. When I try to drag it into another label, the color stays yellow but is so dim, it's hard to see. can the color of the messages be changed ?

This sounds like a website issue. Check the color settings for the site. Also, check with its support.

I clicked the setting icon, top right and took the setting in the drop down, this only told how to change the color or the stars which are in front of the category. I can't find out any thing about changing the yellow highlight color when you check a message in gmail.

Hi oliviag126, I understand getting a yellow background when you click the checkbox at the left end of an item in the Gmail inbox. Could you explain how you drag the message into another label?

I put a check in the box, point to the subject of the email, and hold the left mouse button down. then holding the button, drag it to the the new label. This works, but it's hard to see the light yellow as you drag it. I know that I could use the move to feature, but this seems a bit easier to do. No problem if the color can't be changed. Thanks again for the help.
