I can no longer access my Virgin.net emails through Firefox. It either comes up as forbidden or has something about confirming my new password. I can access through Edge but would prefer to use Firefox.

What are you using for your Security Software ?

There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate. Also Mcafee at times. So if running any of the above there settings need to be played with or see there Community Forum for help.

Please try : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected
