I've not forgotten my sync password - I remember it, and enter it in the 'current password' field. I am simply trying to change it from a password I know, to a new password.

That's the site I'm using which is giving me the 'unverified session' error ... I have 2FA enabled, does that make a difference?

Did you previously login? Note that you may have to disable 2FA to be able to change the password. If you do not manage to change the password then you can reset the password and re-enable 2FA.
