I frequently get emails containing only one or more blank boxes with a small icon in the upper left corner which resembles a blank sheet of paper with the upper right corner folded down and the lower third or so of the sheet separated from the upper two thirds.

What does this icon represent, and how can I format these emails to display properly?

(I am trying to upload a screenshot, but it looks like the screenshot is not going to go.)

Try again. Image upload often seems to be tricky on the first post in a thread.
