Stop Firefox from playing any notification audio in active or inactive tabs
It seems there has been a surge (at least in my country) of professional websites (like financial solutions) having chat/help scripts on their webpages that ding a loud volume audible notification whenever you access the webpage. I am able to disable this on some by using an adblocker, but not all. Plus, it is a reactive solution.
Is there a way to mute the audible ding on such websites proactively, as in the audio is by default muted, even in active tabs, unless I unmute it. Sites like Youtube are fine, because you only access them if you want to listen/view a video, but these chat scripts are getting on my nerves with their audible dings.

Thanks, I did a search before asking but i search using google and it didnt lead me to add-ons that solved my issue.
I ended up using Mute Sites By Default.

Its simple, and automatically adds unmuted sites to the whitelist. Works great (except for showing a muted audio icon on every tab :( )
