I have been searching for important information from past emails, but as of a couple of weeks ago, my inbox only shows emails from the past month. The information I need is from at most a year ago, but I can't locate the emails in my archive or in the trash folder. I know for a fact that neither I nor anyone else in the office deleted them. What can I do to show emails from over a month ago?

Are you accumulating messages in Inbox?

Yes, messages that I need for work. Interestingly, the ones that got deleted all seem to be the emails with attachments, or at least that's what most of them are.

How many are this? 100 or thousands?

I'm not sure; what I really need to know if there is a way to restore these missing emails because they contained important documents.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Disappearing_mail

If nothing in the article helps you'll need to restore your messages from a recent backup created prior to the incident.
