I cannot migrate my old profile to a new computer.

Old computer ran Windows 8.1. New computer running Windows 10 Home Edition. I downloaded Thunderbird to new computer. I copied the old profile folder xxxx,default to C:\Users\pshaf\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles I renamed the file appropriately and checked the profiles.ini file to make sure all was correct. I have tried this multiple time and with several variations including having two profiles and selecting a profile at start up. The new profile created at the installation of the program works. No attempt to use the old profile does. The errors returned are either "profile not found" or "Profile is still in use"

Hi Phil, Instead of trying to edit the profiles.ini file, I recommend copying the entire Thunderbird folder while Thunderbird is closed. For a screencast on how to move your data, check out the following video:
